A Teenager's BrainWare Safari

Hi. My name is Shyla Erickson. I am 15 years old. I went to a public school and when I was there I had many problems. I could not copy what was on the board onto my paper. I had problems remembering things too, and I was not really good with books. I would get mixed up and had problems even though I was really trying to do well in my classes. Sometimes I would cry every morning before school because I was afraid I could not do the work. My mom took me out of public school when I was about 11. I started BrainWare Safari when I was 14. Honestly, at first, I was not sure what my mom had bought for me! I was not going to do it – not because I thought it would not help – but I did not want to do something that was made for younger kids. Now I know it is for kids of all ages.

After a week or so of doing BrainWare, I don't know what it was but I could tell that there was something different in the way I was doing things.

Now I am succeeding with books. I am reading better and now I understand what I am reading and writing too.

I am glad that I did BrainWare Safari. What I could not do before I can do now. And it's like a game, so younger kids will want to do it, and even older kids like me will like it too. I think it is cute when the animal grows (1). Last week, when I was showing my mom one of the
exercises, I was able to answer some of the questions before she did. That was so much fun!! We both laughed so hard! Now, after doing the BrainWare Safari I think I can go back to public high school and do well! My mom and I are talking about that now, so thank you BrainWare Safari!!!!

A word from Shyla's mom, Belinda.

I am so thankful that we heard about BrainWare Safari and bought it for Shyla. I have seen her concentration level increase tremendously. Her short and long term memory have also improved. She is now able to read a paragraph and really comprehend its meaning. She is now able to write her thoughts on paper…which was a major obstacle before the BrainWare Safari program. She is a much happier student now, as she is able to process things correctly.

On another note…her household chores have really improved!!! She remembers what she is supposed to do and does them!! That has been as added plus…because that always makes a momma happy!!!!! Thank you BrainWare Safari!

Most of all…her self confidence has soared. We have been so blessed by this program…and you may not be able to put this in the bulletin…but this program has been an answer to prayer for our family!! We feel God led us to BrainWare Safari for Shyla to become more than a conqueror over her learning disabilities!!
